Cross-country areas in the ski nation France

It goes without saying that the largest ski areas in the world offer its guests the chance to practice their cross-country skiing. Best-prepared trails are both sportingly and naturally attractive and provide first-class fun for all skiers. Winter sports fans of all ages will feel right at home when passing by frozen lakes and taking in the view of Mont Blanc. Breathtakingly spectacular glacier trails at insane altitudes with unforgettable views can be found in Les 2 Alpes, and especially ambitious cross-country skiers will even be provided with a chair lift in Chamrousse, of which leads you among other things to the 9 km long "Astragale." In SuperDévoluy and La Joue du Loup, cross-country enjoyment during your winter holiday starts right at your door. Cross-country fans of all skill levels can strap on their skis and discover a total of 80 km of piste in the Site Nordique and the Plateau de Boucherac. Alpe d'Huez stands out with its 50 km of cross-country trails, of which are ideal for beginners and pros alike. From the longest and most demanding route, "Boucle des Lac," you'll head around numerous trails up to approx. 10 km long around the Boucle de Poutran.
