Skiarea Dornbirn overview
There are also rustic huts and inns right next to the pistes, where traditional Austrian cuisine is usually served after a cosy stop-off. Another plus point of Bödele-Schwarzenberg is that the ski resort is just 10 km or 12 minutes by car from Dornbirn, making it ideal for day trippers.
The "3 Täler Pass" also allows you to enjoy carefree ski area hopping. The lift pass is valid in 31 ski areas in Vorarlberg, Tyrol and Allgäu with a total of around 359 kilometres of slopes.
Night skiing Dornbirn
From Dornbirn, there are several options for skiing at night with the "3 Täler Pass". Firstly, lift pass holders can travel to the large Damüls-Mellau ski area (43 km away), where the Guggernüllilift operates on Thursdays from 18:00 to 21:00 and the adjacent piste is floodlit. And in the Diedamskopf ski area (36 km) in Schoppernau, the Grunholz lift is open every Wednesday and Friday from 7 pm to 10 pm for night skiing. These two offers are included in the "3 Täler Pass".
Dornbirn: Après ski
The city also has plenty to offer culture and film fans. The "Cinema Dornbirn" sometimes shows alternative films, while the "Cineplexx Hohenems" (8 km away) always shows the latest cinema blockbusters. And at the "Spielboden" theatre, the stage programme is peppered with traditional plays and modern performances. There are also numerous outdoor activities to try out in Dornbirn in winter, from winter hikes or guided tours through snow-covered landscapes to ice skating.
Fun park: Schneemann Parcours
In honour of the mascot of the Bödele ski area, the snowman, a small but beautiful snow park has been created between the Lanklift and Schanzenblicklift. On the 150 metre long course, young and old can test their acrobatic skills on skis. It starts at the large toucan pillar, past turning figures for high-fives, ski boxing or high-5s, before heading over one or two kickers to the finish line.
