Cross-country areas in the ski nation Sweden

Nordic sports fans will find optimal conditions in , in that the country holds an unbreakable bond with cross-country. Breathtakingly gorgeous trails take ambitious skiers and leisure skiers alike through a real paradise with dense forests, frozen lakes and picturesque mountain ranges. As a well-known host of many world championship events, is especially known for its Vasaloppet, one of the largest cross-country events in the world. The longest cross-country network in the world, with a total of 300 km of trails, is available to enjoy in and around Funäsdalen from mid-November to the end of May and offers pros an ideal infrastructure. A further 72 km of trails in Åsarna and 89 km alone in the ski stadium in Östersund offer not only easy trails along with running trails and dog trails, but also illuminated trails, of which can continue to be used during the evening. As the official training centre of the Swedish national team, the small but great ski area of Idre Fjäll stands out with just about 62 km of trails, of which can be tested out if you dare and can really make for a unique winter holiday experience.
