In the areas surrounding the Schnalstal glacier, diverse cross-country skiing can be enjoyed nearly throughout the whole year. Fans of Nordic skiing and all who want to start preparing for the next winter early in the season can look forward to approx. 12 km of trails. The high altitude trail Hochjoch makes up - depending on weather and snow conditions - between 5 and 10 km prepared tracks, which lead over the impressive glacier massif up to an altitude of 3,050 m. Some national teams even use the trails for their training. In good snow conditions, a further trail can be prepared in the valley. Here you can enjoy the Lazaun trail with a length of 5 km for a relaxed trip.The surrounding areas in the cross-country region of Meran also offer a diverse trail network.
