51 km Cross-country trails (in km):

In Valli di Tures e Aurina, embedded in the majestic backdrop of about 80 impressive 3000m high peaks, cross-country skiers can look forward to a cross-country trail network of 51 km for classic and staking style.

With its approx. 16 km, the Mülwald-Lappach trail is the longest in the area, and it starts at the lake in Mühlwald. The diverse trail leads over snowy meadows and past historical mountain farm to Lappach. This trail is especially interesting for athletic cross-country skiers. On an altitude of 1,600 m in Rein in Taufers, there are four different cross-country trails with different levels of difficulty and a length from 3 - approx. 15 km available. Those who have high expectations regarding cross-country skiing are recommended to try the "Sonnenloipe Kasern" with a wonderful view of the nearby valleys and a difference in altitude from 1,595 to 1,700 m. The "sun trail" lives up to its name: Thanks to its location, it is known to be sun-spoiled. The newly built cross-country ski centre offers equipment hire, cross-country lessons and shower facilities. That's to the certainty of snow, cross-country skiing in Tauferer Ahrntal is possible from late autumn onwards. The offer is rounded off by a large selection of quaint mountain huts in order to end your day. In order to use the cross country trails, you have to purchase a pass.
