Italy:
Worldcup Ski Tracks, cottages, a lot of sun and tasting food – this is skiing in Italy. Different ski regions are located at the highest part of the “boot”: you can choose between the South Tyrol, Trentino and Venezia regions and get fantastic possibilities of practicing winter sports! For family and groups, the South Tyrol region is a good choice. In Trentino or Venezia, you’ll find Dolomite Alps regions like Val di Fieme and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Aosta Valley:
Near the triangle Italy-Switzerland-France, visitors can find everything here. You can enjoy the natural beauty, as well as the nice restaurants and discos.
South Tyrol:
Sun, gastronomy and incredible pistes are characteristics from the region. Unforgettable Dolomite views can be seen here. Ski pistes for beginners and advanced ones can be found here. Furthermore, the region is suitable for families and groups.
Trentino:
Skiing in the region of Trentino is almost the same as Skiing in Madonna di Campiglio. 90% of the people who spend holiday in Trentino will practice winter sports in Madonna. This is one of the most visited ski region in Italy.
Lombardy:
If you choose the region of Lombardy, you will probably end up in Bormio or Livigno. Bormio is beautiful with its narrow streets adorned with small bars and pubs. Livigno is well-known because of the biggest Snowpark Italy’s. Snowboarders come from all over the world to enjoy this region not only because of the Snowpark, but because of the Tax and Duty-Free status of Livigno.
Piedmont:
Near Turin, the region of Piedmont offers lots of activities, such as canoying and heliskiing. Olympic pistes can be found here: the Turin Olympic Winter Games 2006 was held in the Piedmont region!
Venezia:
The region Venezia seems to be made for winter sports: there are loads of ski tracks for cross-country skiing and for freeriders and snowboarders, there are many deep powder snow regions. Cortina d’Ampezzo ist the most famous in the area and was the base of the Olympic Winter Games 1956.
