The Ziller Valley in Tyrol is one of the most visited winter-resorts in the Alps. But it does not only attract tourists during the winter seasons, but during the whole year. A total of 1.000 km of hiking trails, 850 km of bike- and mountain bike-routes and about 630 km of ski pistes are waiting for you in 25 different villages.
This big variety has been divided in holiday-regions. Fügen and Kaltenbach are part of the first 12 villages. Following the valley you get to the region „Zillertal Arena“, where Zell am Ziller and Gerlos are the most important. Mayrhofen-Hippach lays in the middle part of the valley. In „Tux-Finkenberg“ there are lifts that get up to the glacier of Tux, with 3.250 meters.
The fantastic nature landscape and the breathtaking view during the hiking and bike-riding are unforgettable and are the perfect environment to relax. There are also facilities for swimming, to play tennis or golf, and also for climbing, rating and paragliding. There is simply no time to be bored!
The skiing areas Hochfügen-Hochzillertal, Spieljoch, Zillertal Arena, Gerlosstein, Ahorn, Penken, Rastkogel, Eggalm and the glacier of Hintertux are the perfect resort for every skier and snowboarder. Also the cross-country skiers have not been forgotten. There are 200 km of tracks specially prepared for you!
